This article covers how to set up print routing in Seamless POS back office. Read on to discover how to determine which categories print to each station, change the order of category printing, disable grouping of items and enable or disable prep ticket printing on a per terminal basis.

Head along to the seamless back office - seamlesshq.co.uk
From the menu on the left hand side, select printing.
Setting up print routes
The first thing to do is create your first print route, a print route is simply a ticket that will print at a certain printer station based on the rules you define.
Start by giving the route a name, e.g. food.
Then select the printer where you want the tickets to be sent to
Select how many copies of each ticket you want to print by default
Decide if you want any duplicate items printed together (e.g. 3 x Salad) or split out line by line for clarity (e.g. Salad, Salad, Salad).
Choose which terminals this logic should apply to, for example you may have an iPad on the floor and one on the bar. You may wish for drinks from the floor iPAd to be printed to the bar prep printer but not wish for orders processed on the bar iPad to be printed in the same way as the bartender will be aware and immediately making those drinks.
If you have multiple categories printing to the same print route, you can choose the order that they print in with a drag and drop action, clicking on the left side with six dots.
Note - printers will only be visible in the back office once connected to your network or iPad and discovered by the app in the app settings area. Print routes are a premium feature, only one is included in cafe plan.
