Dojo POS in 2026: The EPOS Systems That Work With Dojo (After the Epos Now Split)
A quick clarification first, because this search is ambiguous: Dojo doesn't currently sell its own POS system. Dojo makes excellent card machines, and "Dojo POS" in practice means a till system that works with Dojo payments. This guide compares the best of those, honestly, including our own. (We build Seamless, one of the systems below, and like most EPOS companies we earn a commission when we introduce a venue to a payments provider. Full disclosure at the end.)
The best EPOS for most UK venues on Dojo in 2026 is Seamless (from £24/month, pairs with your existing Dojo machines in minutes) — but if you run a large multi-site estate, Kobas earns its enterprise reputation, and if you're a tiny counter-service operation, keeping it simple with SumUp's free app and their reader may beat paying for any of us.
The reason this question is suddenly urgent for thousands of venues: in April 2026, Epos Now deactivated its Dojo integration. Dojo's own support pages confirm it, and are unusually blunt: the change took effect at 11:59pm on 22 April 2026, and "Dojo did not have control over this decision." Merchants report that staying with Epos Now while keeping Dojo now attracts a non-integrated fee of £89 + VAT a month — we haven't seen Epos Now publish this figure, so treat it as reported and get your own terms in writing before making decisions.
If you're one of those venues, you have two honest options: change your card machines to keep your till, or change your till to keep your card machines and rates. This guide is for the second group.
The comparison
| System | Price from | Dojo integration | Contract | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seamless | £24/month | Full: totals push to Dojo machines, tips included | None, monthly rolling | Single-site UK hospitality that wants to keep Dojo |
| Kobas | ~£69/month per site (quoted) | Full integration | Typically 12 months | Multi-site groups and larger estates |
| EPOS Direct | Hardware-led pricing, quoted | Integration available | Varies by package | Venues wanting supplied hardware bundles |
| tillpoint-class apps | ~£29/month | Varies, check the specific app | Monthly | Simple retail-style counters |
| Keep Epos Now | Your current plan + reported £89+VAT/month non-integrated fee | Withdrawn April 2026 | Your existing terms | Nobody, at that fee, unless deeply locked in |
Prices verified 13 August 2026 from public pricing pages and quotes; card processing rates are between you and Dojo and don't change when you switch tills.
Seamless: the one we build
Seamless pairs with the Dojo machines already on your counter. The till pushes each total to the terminal, tips prompt on the Dojo screen and land in your reports, and your Dojo rates, settlement and account stay exactly as they are. Setup is genuinely quick: most venues pair machines and ring their first sale the same day, and we import your menu for free.
Beyond the Dojo side you get the features venues usually switch for: tabs and table plans, seat numbers and coursing, category-based kitchen printing (and kitchen display screens if you prefer pixels to paper), offline mode that keeps the till trading when the internet drops, and delivery platform orders in the same system.
Being straight about who it's not for: we're built for single-site and small-group UK hospitality. If you're a fifteen-site estate with a head office, Kobas below will serve you better. And our £0/month Starter plan specifically requires taking payments through our partner Teya, so if you're here to keep Dojo, your price is £24/month and we'd rather say that plainly than surprise you.
Kobas: the estate option
Kobas is a serious hospitality platform with proper Dojo integration, strong stock and labour tools, and the multi-site reporting bigger groups need. It costs more, expects a contract, and onboarding is a project rather than an afternoon, but for estates that's the right trade. If that's you, they're the honest recommendation over us.
EPOS Direct and the hardware-led options
EPOS Direct will sell you a complete hardware package with Dojo integration available. If you want one supplier for tills, screens and printers with everything specced for you, this route works; you'll pay more over time than software-plus-your-own-iPad, and the software layer is more traditional than the app-based systems here.
The keep-it-simple escape hatch
If you're a small counter-service operation caught in the Epos Now situation and the honest answer is that you barely need a till system: SumUp's free POS app with their reader, or Square's free tier with theirs, may serve you better than paying anyone £24 and up per month. You'd be changing card provider and losing your Dojo rates, so do the maths on your card volume first, but for genuinely tiny operations the simplest option wins. That's not the answer that pays us, which is rather the point of saying it.
If you're leaving Epos Now: the practical bit
Check your contract end date and notice period before anything else. Export your product list while you still have access (Epos Now lets you export products to CSV). Get your reported non-integrated fee in writing if you're told one. Then whichever system above you choose, the menu import is the main setup job, and any provider worth using will do it for you. We wrote a full guide to what Dojo actually costs if you're also reviewing the payments side while you're at it.
Questions venues actually ask
Does Dojo make its own POS system?
Not at the time of writing. Dojo supplies card machines and payment services, and works with independent EPOS providers like the ones in this guide. If that changes, we'll update this page the day it does.
Do I lose my Dojo rates if I change my till?
No. Your rates are set by your agreement with Dojo. Changing the till system connected to your machines doesn't touch them.
What does the Epos Now non-integrated fee mean?
Merchants report that keeping Dojo alongside Epos Now after the April 2026 integration withdrawal attracts an £89 + VAT monthly fee. Epos Now hasn't published this publicly as far as we can find, so confirm your own terms in writing.
How fast can I switch and keep trading?
With app-based systems, same week is normal: menu imported, Dojo machines paired, staff shown the basics in an afternoon. The card machines themselves don't change, which removes the riskiest part of most till migrations.
Can I run the old and new till side by side?
Yes, and it's the sensible way to switch: run the new system in parallel for a few days of quiet service before you rely on it. Just ring each sale through one system only, or your reporting will double-count.
Where we stand
Full disclosure: we build Seamless, we earn a commission when we introduce venues to payment providers including Dojo and Teya, and this page exists partly because we'd like Epos Now's orphaned Dojo venues to consider us. We've tried to earn that consideration by being straight about who shouldn't pick us: estates should look at Kobas, tiny counters should look at free options, and anyone whose current setup is genuinely cheaper should stay put. Dojo has not reviewed or approved any of this content. If you want a second opinion on the payments side, our sister site CardRate checks card statements for free, and "stay where you are" is an answer it gives regularly.
